Hi Marian,

Thanks for the info. My M. figo 'Port Wine' also only blooms mainly from late
spring to early summer. But the M. alba flowered from April into December
last year. Unlike the shrubby M. figo, M. alba grows to be a 30'+ evergreen
tree, similar to M. champaca. I have seen newly rooted cuttings from 2 to 6
feet tall. One source says the cuttings should be taken in late summer/early
fall. I still need to find out if I can succeed without a GH though.
