Tuberous Begonia

Hi,
There was a thread about tuberous begonias some time ago, and I saved the
instructions below for saving the tubers. At the time I didn't have any
left to save (Mine all perished in the hot sun and heavy rains we had last
summer.).

At what depth do you plant the tubers? Is it like iris which need to be
close to the surface?

I had a tuberous begonia magically appear in my flower garden this year. It
is doing very well this year and I would like to try to save it. I don't
know yet if the tuber survived the very mild winter we had last year or
whether the plant seeded itself. Can seed be collected from tuberous
begonias, and would plants from seeds form tubers?

Thanks,
Pat
