Readers may be interested to know that I have successfully germinated Mango seed in the summer
here in Canada .. It produces a beautiful tree which I hope will survive the winter with my
skylights.
When the weather is hot, I put the pit into a loose wet mixture and kept it in a shady but
warm area ... always wet .. and protected from the ^%$&^ squirrels who have hampered my
efforts in years past. Takes about 4 weeks then up sprouts some beautiful purple leaves.
