As a "nubie", I am often left in the dust due to terminology/botanical
names, however, am always lurking/reading the posts to this list & therefore
learning.
About rose seeds, I was walking past some rose gardens recently, all covered
in snow, and saw "balls" growing on top of the rose bush. I assumed this to
be the seed head, so I snipped some off. Now at home, I have cut one of
them open & found what resemble small apple seeds. What do I do from here?
Will they produce anything? Do they need bottom heat, cover with plastic,
cover seed or leave on soil surface, put in freezer/fridge(they've been
outside all winter where Mother Nature left them),planted in cell packs???
Alot of questions I realize, but am hoping for at least one seedling & with
any luck, a bush to show for it!
