I have had problems with Oasis used for rooting cuttings. Why? Because the
roots will grow through the Oasis, which is fine. However, when they are
transplanted into soil the Oasis will still hold water, (which it is suppose
to do) and will eventually cause problems with rot.
I have in the past tried to remove most of the Oasis without harming the
roots. Having found it to be a total pain in the ___ I no longer use it for
rooting cuttings. I am sure that you will find fans of Oasis, but I don't
like it one bit.
