My gardenia is turning toes up, too.  I realize this is not a seed's
list topic, so I was unwilling to respond before now.  
(I live just 2 hours N of houston, coincidence?) Mine seems to be
surrounded by very suspiciously 'fluffy' soil, and I think gophers may
be eating it's roots.  Does anyone know if they like gardenias?
