Hi Lara & All,
I tried clematis from seed this year and found it very easy to propagate. I am
now trying a cutting sent to me. From seed, keep soil on the moist side (not
wet) in loose peaty-type starter soil. They will come up nicely. If they can
be kept bottem warm and closely under lights, this would be even better. This
is how I started mine. The cutting I have in a pot with the same type of soil
with a plastic bag over pot & all. Cut two small holes in the top two corners
and wait for some green to show. Keep a close eye out for mould.
Hope this helps.
