I don't know where you grow your impatiens (this is the correct
spelling), but unless you are at the southern tip of Florida, I would
bring them indoors put them on a sunny window sill, in a room where the
temperature never drops below 50-55F at night and is around 70F during
the day. That's what I do with my impatiens and they thrive in winter.
I already grow impatiens only in pots in order to be able to bring them
in.
