Allan,
I've grown at least 50 sungold tomatoes each year, along with other tomatoes,
as a compliment to the potted herbs I sell at my nursery. I have never
experienced any of the problems you describe with the sungolds. My source has
always been Cook's seeds - I don't have the catalog handy, so I can't give you
an address -- but I've always found their seeds to produce tomatoes that are
just as golden and sweet as you describe. I've never bought any vegetable
seed from Thompson and Morgan, I can't comment on where their act is together
or not -- their flower seed is usually reliable.
