I don't know, ask an expert botanist but I would expect that the less
closely related two plants are, the less likely that they will
cross-pollinate. On the other hand think of cabbages, celery, carrots,
cucurbits, they are quite difficult to keep pure strains. But you can't
necssarily say with poppies that they are related at all.
