Hi Jill - only things blooming here are are crocus, vinca, chinodoxia (sp?) iris riticulata (blue & purple) - my yellow never appeared, snow drops and erica, and primula beesiana, I think. Moved them last year from a starter bed where they had bloomed. Stalk on them is much shorter where they are now located - kinda disappointing. Have some leaves on climbing honeysuckle and other plants are budding up. Hostas and some shade plants are just emerging. Tulips up about 4 or 5 inches. Daffs seem slower. We had a lovely weekend, but only managed to get out Sunday for a few hours cleaning leaves etc. Lots of scars on my hands to show for my work. I almost regret putting in those cottonyeasters and that quince along the front bank. Lots of maples around and the leaves just cling to all of these. Unfortunately, I misjudged how wide the cottonyeasters get and planted all kinds of minor bulbs, tyme and rockery plants around them.
Grass is starting to green up and spring has finally arrived - yahoo.

Here in Ontario zone 5b I don't have anything in bloom. I feel left out:((
But then I'm not suppose to have anything in bloom now,
Jill

> Wow! You're in zone 4 and I'm in 5b/6 and we had a fairly mild winter. I have almost all of the plants you mention, but only the crocus, snowdrops, erica and iris reticulata are in bloom. Tulips and daffs are only up a couple of inches. Someone from another list who lives out west in zone 3,
I think, said she would soon have to mow her lawn. Crazy weather.
