I don't actually love those tuberous begonias. They are very brittle and
break easily. Most of them leafout and bloom on one side requiring some
other plants as companions to make them look good. With all that said, I
bought a tuberous cultivar called 'Skaugum' from Mcclure and Zimmerman.
This is reputedly capable of filling a 15 inch pot by itself, one tuber. Has
anyone out there grown this plant. What is the experience? I have it
started and it grew eight inches in one week. If it keeps on at this rate I
will have to rearrange the whole plant room for it.
