Hi Jennifer

I too have an ugly propane tank. Hate that darn thing. Funny that
although I have done nothing to cover it, or the area, when I do
garden designs for people and see an ugly eyesore like that I can
always come up with something. So, I have come up with a couple of
ideas for you, and just maybe some of it will rub off on me
too!!!!LOL

First thought, would be to put some kind of semi fencing around it -
attractive lattice work, or picket fence type, depending on what your
house is like and the surrounding areas. This should be movable or
have a gate part that is accessable. Next idea would be to put
planters around it. Not dinky little things, but nice ones
professionally made, or if not that, something boxed or inexpensive
window boxes, where you would be able to control the soil conditions
and plant something, either delicate, viney, or of substance. Then
there is the " in the ground, tall, fast growing" Plume Poppy which
I have planted in the shade on one side of what I call my ugly
plastic hoophouse! I hate plastic in my garden, BTW, but this is the
necessary item needed to keep the business going.
RE: the tank again - how bout a nice trellis above a nice wooden
box where the vines could grow?

Hope this helps!
