Magnolia - Yellow Blossoms
Late last Fall we bought several "left over" Magnolias for next to
nothing. Among them were several that had the Star Magnolia type
blossoms but they were varying shades of pink. Anyone know what I
have?
The most intriguing one, however, has large YELLOW flowers shaped
like the large common Magnolias (not the ones grown down South.) We
live in Davenport, Iowa. I have never seen a Magnolia with yellow
blossoms. So far I've not found anything in the books I've read about
a yellow flowering Magnolia either.
Anyone know about this? I know there was a tag on it when I bought it
but the wind or varmints or whatever removed it by Spring. Your help
on this will be appreciated.
