I'm Elaine from England.
Re: your Daylily.
If it's the same Daylily as we have here, the Genus is "Hemerocallis"
and the family name is "Liliaceae".
I've looked in all my books and the only information I can find is this:
Some like sun, others prefer shade - I'm not sure what your variety
prefers. They all seem to like fertile, moist soil. The books say that
you propagate by division in the Autumn (Fall) or Winter.
