Paul: Your reply to Clyde re: Brunnera variegated was of great interest to me since I had ordered three of them. Would it be advantageous to pot them to get them started or better to prepare the area as you suggested and let them grow? Mary Walters (???) of Walter's Gardens in Zeeland MI had a gorgeous one at the Mid-America Horticultural Trade show in January and it was doing beautifully in a pot. Sooner or later I would have to set it out though. These plants came today and they are not exactly huge but they are substantial with good strong roots. I usually buy plants that are "easy" and would probably have avoided these if I had known they were difficult. With that I will just HAVE to go cut the first Rhubatb Custard pie of the season. Eat your heart out! Forres G. Johnson - Davenport, IA z5a. Anyone have suggestions on planting a Bald Cypress Tree? Any ticks? Things to avoid? They do grow here as I saw three nice ones recently so we bought two!
