Re: [SG] Rhododendrons

Just returned from the nursery with two Olga and a large leafed white
Chionoides - Olga I know is very hardy and does well here (probably would
like a little more sun than the one I already have is getting) Thje white
Chionoides I know nothing about except that Dirr's description sounded pretty
good - hardy to -20, broad and dense, to 4', white with yellow throat. I
keep looking for another Boule de Neige which is a super old thing, but the
years go by, so I bought this white one -

I've dumped a bale of Pro-mix and a lot of compost - I want to work this in
to my clay type soil in about thirds - am I on the right track? What
fertilizer?

I have a Scintillation that has been growing smaller every year - obviously I
need to learn what rhodies like before this one disappears completely!
