Hi all,
Clydes list is interesting as always...I'm in zone 4, and am interested in
planting some different small trees (even though I can't think of where
they'd fit at the moment). I Parrotia persica in a pot, which Michael
Dirr says is one of his favorite trees and rates as zone 4-8 in his
book....but I've not found anyone that grows it up here yet. Has anyone on
this list grown it in zone 4 or even 5?? How are the roots on these trees
for gardening under?
Also, how are Cercis canadensis (Eastern Redbud) and Magnolias stellata or M.
xloebneri 'Merrill' for gardening under?
Thanks,
Cindy Johnson
