Re: Rain Dances & La Nina
Hi Marg and All,
Just a thought regards this subject..Its baffling to me that last year the
weather/news could not say too much about El Nino(as naseum) but now with La
Nina still at play they say little to nothing!.....
There are reports that say; not only did She not go away as expected ,she is
largely responsible for the reversal of weather patterns now being
experienced..
In other words the areas that would ordinarily receive summer rains, will not
get their usual precip and the areas that are more normally drier will receive
more,etc.
I dont hold myself up to be an expert on the subject but as of a short while
ago that was the story..
My sincere condolences to you all..Here in the West its a way of life for
us..I'll never forget the first time I learned from a friend that had moved to
Pa.for two summers and upon her return we fell into conversation and she
mentioned that she, 'sure loved not having to water the lawn during
summer'.What, says I ?!Amazed at the news of a lifestyle so different from all I
have ever known,U know? ,drag them hoses!!!But,here if you dont there will be
NO garden,(save the heartier Native)and certainly no food crops.
Thank goodness for winter snows, which is what supplies our lifes blood through
it all.
Sending my prayers for you.
