My favorite present was W. George Schmid's Encyclopedia of Shade
Perennials and the new Gardens North Catalog that arrived Christmas
Eve. A great combo.
We weighed in at 15 inches of lovely mulch on Christmas Day.
Have a Happy New Year

Happy holidays to you all of you. Hope you are staying warm with your white
mulch. Here in the Northwest we are expecting a windstorm of up to 100
miles an hour on the coast and 65 mph here in the interior Sound. BATTEN
down the hatches!
My favorite present this year was a present from a good friend and it was
a baggy full of soil. Inside the baggy was a gift certificate from Vern's
Organic topsoil with enough to buy a few yards of compost or soil or
whatever I desire from them. I am anxious to rev up the ol' garden pickup
and start hauling. But must wait for windstorm to hit and pass.
Favorite presents anyone?
