Hi, Robyn.  Since tree roots need to grow under soil, did you mean the
trunk?  Or are you referring to those thick roots whose upper surfaces
protrude from the ground close to the tree - if that is what you meant,
please respond!  This I need to know - I have received answers about
covering the trunk but not concerning those large, exposed roots, which I
am considering doing to a small extent.
