The above perfectly describes the reasons ppl do not register hostas. And
Robyn is correct--a registered hosta might well be a "dog."Or almost exactly
like another registered one. I can think of several hostas that are
morphologically the same--but the hosta is registered under 3(!) names. As an
inveterate collector, I have been "disappointed."
