Again, sorry for the late mail.

  Just wanted to toss my name in as an interested future member of the
shade garden society.
 I don't join individual plant societies, too many individual plants that I
like, and how much can you really say about any one plant?

 Something that was mentioned breifly might be expanded on considerably.
Instead of incuring the costs and hassles of print media, have you
considered an online magazine?
 The Internet Pond Society was the example I was thinking of.
 Society dues would go towards renting server space (the megabytes add up
quickly), and if nesseccary, some or most portions of the site could be
locked out for society members only.
