Hello Connie,
Have you given thought to Mazus reptans or M. miquelii? Tiny little close
to the ground scalloped leaves and flowers in lavender shaped like
snapdragons just above the foliage. Takes shade and quite a bit of sun if
not allowed to dry out severely. Great for in between pavers or stones. It
will take some foot traffic. I have it growing in the mulch of a path in
the garden where it gets relatively good walking upon. You do not say what
zone you are in, but this one takes it down to Zone 5.
