This talk of pulmonarias has prompted me to ask others about their
experiences with the lovely green and white (coral flowers) hybrid called
David Ward.
I grow a lot of different pulmonarias and they do very well for me,
even self-seeding, despite the Midwestern humidity mildewing the leaves a
bit in August.
But I have babied and babied and then finally this past season lost
my David Ward. Are these harder to grow or was there something wrong with
the particular spot it was in (shaded by a maple, not too far from other
lungworts, with supplemental watering given)?
