It gets sold in bloom occasionally in garden centres here.  Sells on
sight, of course.   And that's it. It is dormant for most of the
year, and by the time it would have resprouted the following May, the
place where it was has been thoroughly dug and replanted with
something else. It's a dangerous life around here for anything that
isn't evergreen.  Maybe in the sort of climate where lots of plants
are dormant over winter it might survive OK, as gardeners there know
how to deal with such plants. I've never had it reseed in my garden,
though maybe in moist conditions it might.

It's easy enough from seed, and flowers the following year, just like
foxgloves.
