Lady bugs work great for aphids indoors. For anyone wanting to find them in
the wild this time of year I suggest looking on the trunks of Maple trees.
Check the root flare area. I have found hundreds on Silver, Norway and Red
Maples this time of year. Check the south side first.
If you are having problems with insects being resistant to your control
efforts try rotating your chemicals. Orthene from Orthro is systemic and
does a good job at getting those little sap suckers.
