One of my favorite late-blooming plants in aconitum, monkshood, with
its beautiful deep purple shell-shaped blooms, and I have had
wonderful success growing it in almost complete shade, once the oak
tree above fills out....also meadow rue, grows very tall, airy
rose-colored blooms in the late summer, early fall....and perennial
geraniums....gentians also bloom late season......
Hope this helps...
