[SHADEGARDENS] Introduction

Sherryl:

Thanks for the introduction. I am hoping to use your group's
knowledge in helping further my gardening knowledge.

I have a small garden in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland, OH (Zone
5). Small plot (15' x 25') inside a picket fence in front of the house.
I have made most of the beginners mistakes, buying plants without a
plan. I am now planning on a redesign and would like some suggestions.

The backbones are several Hosta ( Blue Angle & Krossa Regal),
Geraniums (Biokovo), bleeding hearts and a couple of Clematis ( Henryii
& Dr. Ruppel). Most of my garden is spring blooming with little or no
summer and fall flowers (another typical mistake).

I am looking for suggestions for summer and fall blooming
perennials. Also ideas on annuals to fill in the gaps. Site receives
fairly good sun in spring but is more shady as the Maples leaf out.

    Any ideas?

Tim Wilson
Chagrin Falls, OH zone 5
