Hello Tim,
You should be seeing signs of life before long of your hellebores. If
you remember or marked exactly where each plant was dug in, check for a
crown just beneath the surface. Careful not to break anything, feel for an
elongated bud. Should be a blackish-green nodule just at or below the
surface.
Even if you think everything is dead, leave the area alone for a while.
Hellebores will often come back from pieces of crown and root that survive.
I do not know where you obtained the plants, but they could also just be
a bit out of cycle. Position in the garden and microclimate also come into
to play. Patience, Tim.
