Re: var. cattail was: Japonica Water Gardens Nursery
Bobbi
thanks for the offer of a look-up and yes, if you find some
information I would appreciate it.
I already have one location that I could put one or two. last year, one
of our local nurseries gave me a water lily (didn't realize you cannot
sell these plants in our area, it's against the law) back to the
story: I had an old coleman coolers and my husband dug a hole in one
of my flower beds and buried the cooler and that is where I put my
water lily, now I have to find larger quarters for "them", the
cattail needs lots of sun, this site doesn't get all day sun, but
off and on in the morning until about 1:00 then it's shade. I guess
you would have to say it doesn't get very much sun, but they would be
pretty even as midgets don't you think
and no, Bobbi this is not the lower midwest, but cattails grow wild
here. every fall I go along the roads and stop and cut them to use in
arrangement in the house. I love them.
