Re: [SHADEGARDENS] deer and talk radio

I see I have narrow little varmit trails across my yard. I'm letting
the lawn grow out so the little narcissus can bloom and there is a
six inch wide track leading across my property toward the woods. It's
always been there. Now I see the deer are using it too. I'm glad they
don't eat the rhododendrons.

I have another trail that crosses the yard the other way which is
mostly used by dogs. I learned long ago that that path is permanent.
So now I not only need to consider dog damage but deer as well.

And this in the middle of town! As the habitation here has increased
incrementally, certain species seem to have increased. We have gangs
of raccoons and opposums. The nice thing is the Norway Rat population
has decreased and the crocuses are no longer rat food.
