This subject has come up several times over the past year or so on the
Alpine-L. (Check their archives?) Never could figure out if there was a
consensus on what makes it grow. Most I could see was those in PNW had an
easier time of keeping them. I have tried several cultivars and species
with no success in the garden over the past 5 years. In pots they do just
fine.
