Sorry it was late last night. It should be 1.5 inches.
The lady slipper Orchids have shallow running roots that run along the surface
of the ground. You can almost count how old the plant is, the root stock it's
self has notches on it that correspond to past years stems. The plants that I
saved covered large plants and small plants that were at least 6 years away
from blooming. Did I mention that the flowers have a tangirean/nectorine kinda
smell?
