Another Arisaema Thread - Rust!

Hi, Shady People!

I'm hoping someone here can be of help with my problem. I may join the
Arisaema list just to get some input with this. My Jack-in-the-pulpits
have been infected with rust for the last several years. By midsummer they
are very unattractive and seem to go dormant earlier. It doesn't appear to
be killing them, and some still go on to produce seeds. The only resource
I could find online said that to treat it the plants needed to be removed
and destroyed. So, here are the questions:

1.)Is there another way, besides euthanasia, of controlling this problem?

2.)If there is no other way, can I start new plants from seed (I have
plenty and it seems to germinate well) and plant in the same areas or will
the new plants be re-infected?

3.)Could this spread to my Green Dragon (A. dracontium?) in the same garden?

Seriously, I love my Jacks too much to have a garden without them. Also, I
was hoping to add more Arisaema species, but am hesitant because of this
problem.

Thanks!
