Bedding plants/Ipomoea

I agree with you totally regarding availability
of bedding plants in the summer. We aren't all
ready, willing or able to plant annuals at the
first sign of spring.
I have a question/observation about the black
sweet potato vine. I first purchased one plant 2
seasons ago and it was quite prolific. It grew
like crazy and it was quite easy to root in
water. However, the plants I purchased last year
and this, I'm barely able to keep alive. Anyone
else have this experience?
