Dunno...hey, Ginny! Did this one ring a bell?
Well, as to invasiveness...had mine for three years before I began to
notice seedlings here and there - and some quite a long distance away
from the mother plant. In fact, was concerned about its survival at
all, originally, as it seemed fairly puny.
Had Dr. Kay Lancaster (Gardens-L) warn me that it would be invasive
when I was moaning about it not bulking up. Think it very well could
be, however it seems to spread only by seed - at least in my garden -
so cutting off the rather insignificant flowers would take care of
that. It's easy to pull up if not wanted and the seedlings exhibit
the same leaf coloration as the adults, so are easy to spot. Am
finally getting a decent clump going and have not objected to where
it has put itself, but considering the family, think it is a plant
that bears watching. Lights up a shady corner...very attractive
foliage if the slugs don't mangle it.
