    Sure does sound like the beginning of dormancy on the Amsonia. Walking through
the garden yesterday I made a point of looking mine over more closely and checking
for any yellowing. If you look closely the tips are beginning to show some yellow.
    Funny you should mention the Tricyrtis "Samurai". That name and an photo
popped up more than once this summer for me. Came close to ordering some, but I am
holding off for one I am trying to find the name of. Saw the plant in a garden,
but the owner had lost the name. Very large leaves for the height of the plant,
long and sharply pointed with a very broad band of while outlining each leaf. I
have 'variegata' with a very narrow outline...
