Re: Need a suggestion on a shady area...

I am a huge fan of Sluggo:

No affiliation, etc, just a satisfied customer. Gardens Alive sells a
similar product they call Escargo. They are both iron phosphate based, and
are non-toxic and safe to use around children and pets, a big issue for me.
It breaks down harmlessly into the soil. The Sluggo works very well in my
experience. I need to remember to re-apply every two weeks, or after very
heavy rains, but that's it....I sprinkle it around susceptible plants, and
have almost complete control. A little goes a long way (I'm still working
on the jug I bought last year) so don't be deterred by the initial price.

cheers,
Sue
