Bill, Nancy,
If you are going to use cyclamen and can expect a dormant period above
ground, why not a nice small groundcover to occupy the space until the
cyclamen comes back around? Mitchella repens, or Partridge berry, is my
favorite. Tiny round shiny green leaves that looks as though they had been
polished each evening. Nothing seems to bother the plant, and it is not
aggressive. Looks as though someone had pained the ground green it is so
flat. I like to use it with ariasema, troutlilies.
