Who/What are predacious on foliar nematodes?
What can we do to facilitate naturally active predators?
Most likely any predator of Foliar nematodes are going to do more damage to
the plants, they would have to feed on them while they are in the soil, and
most likely would not be effective in controlling those in the dead leaves.
There is no such thing as an equilibrium in nature, this concept is a man
made illusion.
If there is enough food, something will eat it until the populations build up
to the point were all the food is consumed or diseases moves in to kill off
the pathogen populations or resistance is built up in the host species.
A bacteria or visus that kills the nematodes would be the most effective
natural way to control this problem.
The history of using biologically controls to keep in check predates
pathogens has for the most part failed. The successes have been minimal and more
often disastrous to the ecosystems they have been released into.
