Kathy, does your friend Josh own a copy of EUREKA? This is a book listing
all approx 45,000 daylilies currently available (a collection of 300 is
not many when you consider how many more there are--<g>). 'Joyce Brooks'
should be in there, with prices from all the nurseries, so it is an
invaluable reference. My copy was procured for me by friends in the
American Hem Society. I know it cost about $10 and is issued annually,
though I don't buy it every year. I find it kind of useful and I only have
about 3 dozen varieties myself.
When you say hardy hybiscus do you mean those things with dinner-plate
size flowers? They are indeed spectacular! One rarely sees them. Perhaps
gardeners are too refined nowadays.
