Colocasia and Canna

Kemberly, thanks for the info on storing Colocasia. I dig up cannas in the
fall, trim them, throw them in an open box, then store them in the garage.
It gets cold, but not wet, in there, and the 'bulbs' make it through every
winter. Sp now they will have some company.
On the subject of Cannas: I bought Canna 'Australia' this year. It is a
very deep purple, almost blackish, with pink flowers. It looks very well
planted by gold hostas, particularly those with the pale lavender blooms.
Instead of the hosta flower and leaf colors clashing with each other, the
third color of the canna leaves seems to provide a balance that improves
all three.
