Re: Anyone collect heucheras?


In my experience, it blooms but they look pretty much like what you
describe...nothing to write home about at all.  This is a variable
plant as far as leaf color goes.  Think someone else mentioned this,
as they are mostly seed grown.  It is grown primarily for the
foliage.  I've had mine in dry shade, where it existed and in better
soil with more water where it is much happier.  Like all this tribe,
it will need dividing and resetting every couple of years when the
"necks' stick out of the ground a few inches.

Ignore the bloom and put it next to something with silver or yellow
foliage...it will shine in that kind of company.
