Diana:  I know a plant that would work for you as long as you don't mind
keeping it potted or digging it up before the first frost....what about the
Rex Begonias?  The blooms are small but the colorful foliage make up for the
lack of blooms.  I've not tried them as a houseplant but I understand that
they are suppose to do very well inside during the winter months.
