Re: Any colorful shade plants that last all summer?

I find that my perennials tend to bloom up until July and then start
again sometime in August and go on to frost. The midsummer gap was
really apparent the year a friend had her wedding in the garden - I
had to go out and buy buckets of flowers.

However, checking my What's Noticeably in Bloom diary, I see that
these plants were flowering in part shade:

late July: phlox, hydrangeas, astrantia
from early August: Japanese anemones, alstroemeria (pink ones - the
yellow ones don't flower past June)

feverfew really lights up my shady areas. It is in full flower now,
then I cut off the flowering stems and it starts again in late August
(? - forgot to write it in the book) and goes on for more months.
