Hello...
Bobbie here in Mass in zone 6
Blooming all summer at less than 2 ft?
Dicentra exemia, formosa(?) etc....
gray ferny foliage, with blooms from white to dark pink...
in compost they have been showing off, one year old plantings, at 18 inches
for 2 months already with more blossoms coming!
Other colorful things and textured plants are based on foliage...
feverfew....there is a gold foliage one that is better in some sun, but most
all I can get to bloom all season in moderate shade
will think of others, I am sure, when I sign off!
