I grow Weeping Birch trees as the main tree on my lot and they are subject
to leaf miners big time. The only thing that controls them is a soil
drench as they are leafing out of Cygon 2E, so well I am doing that I
make a mild dilute of the Cygon (about 10%) and do a soil drench around my
Columbine to protect them against 'borers and miners' and it seems to work
very
well, since I have started doing this I have not lost one Columbine
to insect... however my gardening technique has made a few disappear.
