I have not had any problems with mildew...just no leaves this year. They
flowered very heavily this year and all the plants have old flowering stems
on them.
Normally the clumps get nice and thick with foliage after they bloom-but this
year do to the weather we have had- there has been no foliage growth.
After flowering the flowering stems with there leaves look pretty ratty but
are usually covered by the new leaves.
I will just have to be happy this year that they flowered so much this
spring-even though I grow them for the foliage and not the flowers.
