The adage for perennials is the first year they
sleep, the second year they creep, the third year
they leap. Patience.

I planted almost one hundred new plants in
mid to late April. So far, only
my shasta daisies are flowering. I am new to
gardening so maybe I am being
a little impatient. I planted purple coneflowers,
baby sun coreopsis, red
hot pokers, black eyed susans. They seem to be
growing but I do not see any
flower heads. Is this unusual?
